Job Description

The team is responsible for driving the firm's data, cloud, and AI strategy with a strong focus on

governance, risk management, and compliance

. In partnership with business and corporate functions, the team ensures that data assets are managed in line with enterprise policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices- supporting secure, ethical, and effective use of emerging technologies.







Role Description

Governance and Risk Focus:

Bring a strong

risk and control mindset

, with the ability to identify, interpret, and apply

governance frameworks and policies

related to data, cloud, and AI. Play a key role in assessing and managing

emerging technology risks

, including the responsible use of

Generative AI

and ethical considerations for AI development.
Ensure governance practices are embedded throughout the data and AI lifecycle, closing gaps in compliance and operational risk exposure.

Control Framework Automation:

Support the

automation and modernization of control frameworks

using advanced analytics and AI/ML to enhance control effectiveness and efficiency. Embed

governance and compliance checkpoints

within automated pipelines to ensure robust monitoring, alerting, and auditability.

Model Governance:

Lead the development, testing, and deployment of AI/ML models aligned with

model governance standards

, ensuring performance, transparency, and regulatory compliance. Define and implement best practices for

model validation, lifecycle management

, and controlled upgrades.

Collaboration & Solution Delivery:

Work cross-functionally with data engineers, software developers, and risk professionals to integrate

governance and risk requirements

into data and AI initiatives. Deliver end-to-end AI/ML solutions that are secure, scalable, and compliant with

SDLC and governance standards

.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Communicate risk and governance requirements to both technical and business stakeholders, translating complex topics into actionable insights. Help foster a culture of

data stewardship and accountability

, ensuring responsible ownership of data and AI assets across teams.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

Stay current with industry trends, evolving regulations, and

governance frameworks

related to data and AI risk. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the firm's

risk and control posture

through innovation and strategic input.




Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required





Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Operations Research, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in data and analytics, with a strong emphasis on

governance, risk, and compliance

. Proven track record in building and optimizing AI/ML models, with deep understanding of

model governance and regulatory alignment

. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), especially with their

governance and security features

. Proficiency in handling complex data types (structured, semi-structured, unstructured) within

regulated environments

. Demonstrated ability to assess and apply

responsible AI frameworks

, manage AI risks, and implement effective controls. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders on

risk mitigation, governance obligations

, and strategic data use. Solid knowledge of

SDLC standards

, including integration of data governance and application-level controls.
