Position Summary

Provide specialized engineering and technical support through the preparation of project-specific designs and supporting technical documentation for Sales bids and operational projects.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site engineering reviews, participate in site visits, and meet with clients to understand project requirements, analyze system load profiles, and electrical plans to determine sizing for power generation packages. Perform due diligence reviews of electrical installations during both design and operation stages. Interpret electrical drawings to determine the parameters for safely and efficiently connecting power packages to customer electrical distribution systems. Compile and review engineering design reports for submission to clients, management, and regulatory authorities. Design schematic and layout drawings, and create electrical and mechanical system diagrams using CAD software. Perform electrical fault-level calculations and protection studies for high-voltage systems. Review CAD-based schematic and layout drawings and implement necessary modifications. Prepare Project Design Pack documentation for sales proposals and project contractual documentation. Advise the Sales team on specific design challenges and propose engineering solutions. Provide guidance to the Operations team during the project mobilization phase and address engineering concerns during installation and commissioning. Demonstrate a commitment to operational excellence initiatives. Adhere to the company's commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental protection. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and local regulations, and complete required QHSE training.

What We're Looking For

A technical engineering background/qualification, preferably within the power industry. Electrical Engineering qualification with a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical power systems. Experience in power generation, high-voltage systems, and project management is highly regarded. Certified Practicing Engineer (CPEng) qualification is preferred. Strong project management skills. Proficient computer design skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
