Title: Lead Engineer - Human Factor EngineeringJob Responsibilities
Independently develop the HFE plan (design and construction phases), HFE Philosophy (incl. working environment) and HFE specification, etc.
Participate in and provide human factors support to review any identified risks, hazards from Hazard and Effects Management Process (HEMP) activities (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, ALARP demonstrations) that depends on human controls to ensure ALARP in design for human reliability during operation and maintenance
Participate in and provide human factors inputs HFE workshops/ reviews including Valve Criticality Analysis (VCA), Safety Critical Task Analysis (SCTA), Task Analysis for Distributed Control System (DCS) Human Machine Interface (HMI) graphics design, ALARP in various HFE aspects.etc and responsible for associated Actions close-out
Facilitate above HFE workshops, if required
Deliver HFE design requirements, actions and activities required as per the HFE Specification and also implement any actions from the previous phase of project\'s HFE close-out report
Lead HFE design implementation and review of HFE to verify that design complies with project HFE standards and any HFE requirements identified through HFE studies
Document any deviations and discuss with client for approval
Independently perform key activities/ develop deliverables e.g.
Provide HFE awareness presentation based on HFE specification and deliver HFE training to the project design team
Develop and maintain a \xe2\x80\x98live\xe2\x80\x99 HFE Issues Register, ensuring all issues are tracked and closed accordingly
Provide inputs for Critical tasks Inventory
Lead and guide the engineering team to ensure the 30%, 60%, 90% formal 3D model design is developed to meet HFE specification and provide HFE input during 30%, 60% and 90% formal 3D model review sessions
Review and provide HFE input to material handling studies including platform crane operations
Review and ensure VENDOR engineered packaged equipment comply with HFE design requirements
Review and provide HFE input to Temporary Refuge (TR), emergency response room, and electrical and instrument rooms for the facility
Provide HFE awareness training to the representatives of CONTRACTOR and client Construction team at the start of Construction phase
Prepare and submit HFE close-out report for client approval
HFE specialist to ensure implementation of labelling as per HFE specification, for overall facility, equipment (including engineered packaged equipment), piping, control panels, electrical and instrument cables, and material handling provision
Participation in Pre-Start-up Safety Review (PSSR) / Pre-Start-up Audits (PSUA), as required
Responsible for review Third Party HFE studies including VCA, SCTA, Task analysis for Distributed Control System HMI graphics design , ALARP in various HFE aspects. etc.
Interact/co-ordinate with Other disciplines (including vendor packages) and advice HFE inputs to implement in engineering design, as required
Manage & guide team engineers in the project\'s team
Able to deliver project HFE deliverables as per project schedule
Provide inputs & support to Project\'s management team in all HFE aspects incl. progress reports (weekly/monthly)
Job Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university and shall have notable HFE experience in the Oil & Gas industry
Candidate should have training and certification recognized by Human Factors industry bodies (Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors or Certified Professional Ergonomist) with at least three (3) years of relevant industry experience to facilitate HFE design studies and workshop activities for the project
Experience in design projects for Offshore (FPSO/Platforms) and Onshore (Refineries, LNG facilities, Storage terminal etc)
Familiar with HFE workshops and reviews and other engineering reviews (e.g. HAZID, ALARP, 3D model)
Good understanding and experience in Australian standards and regulations with respect to HFE aspect, as the offshore project will be in Australian waters and has to conform to Australian regulations and requirements for it to be certified into service
Person shall be a team player with leadership potential and shall have pro-active inter-discipline communication
Ability to influence designs to achieve optimal HSE outcomes
Possess Certification recognized by Human Factors industry body
