What you will be working on:
The jobholder will be a member of xCybersecurity, providing security-by-design leadership to all departments in the Home Team and HTX. xCybersecurity promotes the adoption of defence-in-depth and security best practices and help enable the transformation of Home Team's cybersecurity capabilities. Through our work, we enhance the resilience of Home Team information-communication systems and networks against sophisticated threats to confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The jobholder will be responsible for advancing cybersecurity capabilities in the following areas: Conceptualise, develop, and deliver threat-informed cyber defence for Home Team - with specialisation in cyber threat intel, cyber threat hunting, adversary emulation, or in associating cyber countermeasures. Provide expert assessments to Home Team on emerging and observed cyber threats, as well as expert recommendations on appropriate cyber countermeasures, with reference to internally established cyber threat model and threat management framework. Innovate and enhance the efficacy of advanced cyber capabilities through use of leading frameworks such as MITRExc2xae ATT&CK/D3FEND/ENGAGE, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and man-machine teaming or co-pilots to manage cyber threats with scale and speed.
What we are looking for:

• Individuals who are proactive, keen to change status quo, collaborative, and a key influencer in the team's strategy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Tertiary qualification in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, or related engineering fields. Proficient in Python for automation as well as in Machine Learning and data visualisation libraries such as TensorFlow, NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib. Minimally 3 years of proven work experience and skillsets. Cybersecurity qualifications such as OffSec Certified Expert3 (OSCE3), GIAC Experienced Forensics Analyst (GX-FA), GIAC Experienced Intrusion Analyst (GX-IA), GIAC Battlefield Forensics and Acquisition (GBFA), GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), GIAC Cyber Threat Intel (GCTI), GIAC Defending Advanced Threats (GDAT), GIAC Machine Learning Engineer (GMLE), GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA), GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM), or Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP) will be beneficial. All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
