Job Description

What the role is:The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) which aims to pioneer innovation solutions and develop world class science and technology capabilities to transform and empower the Home Team in delivering safety and security for Singapore. Reporting to Deputy Director, Weapon Systems & Ammunition, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the fleet management and capability sustainment of weapon systems used by the Home Team, as well as the development of core technical expertise to support the Home Team in the safety management of firing ranges.What you will be working on:

• Understand and translate users\' operational needs into technical requirements and work with procurement team on the tender processes and contracting for the procurement of weapon systems and associated support elements. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage maintenance contracts for weapon systems, conduct regular meetings and routine audits with maintenance contractors to ensure contractual performance and system availability target is met. \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform the Systems Manager role to take care of the lifecycle management of weapon systems to ensure cost effectiveness in sustaining the operations of the systems for continued mission success. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain technology watch on developments of weapon systems and solutions to enhance Home Team\'s operational capabilities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Initiate and lead innovation projects to explore, develop and deliver unique solutions to meet Home Team\'s operational needs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide technical advice and support to the Home Team in the safety management of firing ranges, ensuring that the design, use and maintenance of Home Team firing ranges are compliant with relevant safety standards.

What we are looking for:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Systems Engineering (or equivalent). \xe2\x80\xa2 Relevant experience in project/ systems management, technical understanding on weapon system design/ integration and range safety principles would be an advantage. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good verbal and written communication skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Willing learner with positive attitude towards acquiring new knowledge and skillsets to excel in the role. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. \xe2\x80\xa2 Analytical mindset with an ability to approach and solve problems systematically. \xe2\x80\xa2 Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. \xe2\x80\xa2 Applicants with more than 5 years\' relevant experience will be considered for more senior positions.
