Administrative work related to student learning/projects, school and institutional strategic initiatives are also essential. Successful candidates are to possess relevant working experience and technical knowledge, be innovative, be resourceful, take initiative and possess excellent communication skills.

The School of Chemical and Life Sciences (CLS) offers a wide range of PET and CET courses to train technologists in deepening their existing knowledge and skills. Contributing towards nation\xe2\x80\x99s drive in lifelong learning and education, you will be responsible in driving business growth by identifying, developing and closing new opportunities. You are also required to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, training providers and industry partners.

[What you will be working on]

Responsibilities:-

  • Develop and deliver modules in PET and CET courses
  • Supervise student projects and internships in PET and CET courses
  • Build and maintain a network of strategic partnerships with government agencies, training providers, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders to support PET, CET and industry consultancy projects
  • Identify and engage with potential clients, presenting solutions to help enterprises in their company and workforce transformation and address their specific business needs and requirements.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to PET and CET courses as well as school\xe2\x80\x99s initiatives and activities.
[What we are looking for]

Requirements:-

3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in one or more area(s) below:

a) Food Sustainability/Biotechnology

b) Waste Valorisation

c) Food Packaging

d) Circular Economy

e) Product Lifecycle Assessment & Costing
  • Passionate in learning and possess strong desire to mentor as well as provide pastoral care to PET and CET students
  • Positive, constructive and work well as a team
  • People-oriented individual with strong interpersonal, written and communication skills
  • Self-directed, independent with analytical skills
  • Technology savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Powerpoint & Excel as well as social media (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, etc)
  • Candidates who possess experience in business development, industry engagement, teaching/training would have an added advantage
  • Relevant qualifications in Food Science & Technology, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field
Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
