We are currently hiring for Lead, Logistics Performance (APAC) to work in our regional APAC team. You will be responsible for supporting the APAC countries to provide a better experience to our customers through more efficient logistics and you will work at a regional scale to improve performance across our 11 markets in APAC. Rider logistics operations are key to foodpanda\'s growth and profitability. As the regional lead, you will lead the team that enables foodpanda\'s growth while reaching our ambitious operational and financial targets.

In this role, you will define the strategy and initiatives your team will work on to deliver as many orders as possible, in the most cost-efficient manner, and with our customers\' experience as the top priority. Leading a team of experienced, analytical managers and analysts, you will work closely with them to define priorities, pushing for speed and results in the execution of projects. We move fast, and never settle. You will be challenged to break through and come up with new ways to improve the status quo. We think product. You will work with our Product and Tech teams to set the direction for our logistics tech products. We trust data. Testing and experimentation is our day to day. You will also closely collaborate with Data Science teams to improve our modeling solutions to run operations at scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting and rider staffing, to be ready to bring enough rider supply online to fulfill the demand for deliveries at any time, in any geography.
  • Dynamic rider pay and incentives, so that the service fees our rider partners receive are fair and in line with the supply and demand situation at any time.
  • Supply-demand imbalances coping mechanisms, like Surge Pricing or dynamic delivery radius.
  • Automatization and optimization of our partner vendors\' delivery areas setup.
  • Experimentation initiatives related to order dispatching algorithms, like prioritization of orders, no-rush deliveries, and order stacking configurations.
  • Geozonal infrastructure setups and adjustments, in line with the latest demand trends.
Requirements:
  • You have at least 6 to 10 years of work experience in a high growth startup or an equivalent fast-paced, dynamic working environment.
  • You are analytical. Experience in a data-hevy role or managing an analytical team is a plus.
  • Team management is in your DNA. You can inspire your team to excel at their job.
  • You are a problem solver with a bias to action.
  • You are data driven, and consistently rely on testing for decision making.
  • You can challenge the status quo and bring foodpanda to the next level.
  • You have outstanding written and spoken communication skills, synthesis capacity and you are reliable.
