We Offer
As a continued effort to grow our Wealth Management franchise to a leading force in Asia in a risk compliant manner, under the leadership of the COO office, the Market Business Manager (MBM) together with the rest of the MBM Team, support Market Group Head and Market Leaders in driving the market on 3 fronts: Risk Compliance, Business Strategies/Priorities and Sales Activities.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Market Group Heads, Market Leaders and Team Leaders in driving market strategies and initiatives in a well-planned and implemented manner
  • Owns the MBM team in managing all risk, control, and suitability activities, ensuring the Markets conducts their business in a safe and compliant manner amidst increasingly complex regulatory requirements
  • Acts as the first level of control in helping the Markets enforce to policies and regulations through conducting regular reviews of business activities
  • Leads the MBM team in the active monitoring of the Markets\' sales and financials, and assist in the preparation of management reports for the Market Group Heads and Market Leaders
  • Supports the Markets as the escalation channel for operational issues and incidents, and drives process improvements for the Markets
  • Actively supports project implementations within the Markets as a COO change agent, ensuring effective change management and driving user adoption within the Markets
  • Execution and monitoring of various business and risk initiatives in line with Regional and Market strategies
  • Enable effective communication and transparency within the Markets through organization of regular market meetings, Front Office forums as well as other management meetings
  • Improve communication between the Markets and various risk functions across the Bank (eg. Location First Line of Defense Support, Legal & Compliance, Credit Risk etc) through proactive engagement on potential operational risk issues and ensuring the Market is kept updated of the latest developments on risk topics

The role is the part of the WM APAC COO division.
