Job Description


Purpose:Lead, own and drive the merchandising strategy in South-East Asia markets for all gender categories and lead the merchandising team to build profitable assortments that will maximize commercial performance, productivity, and brand experience.Keeping consumer at the center, closely collaborate with cross functional SEA peers to socialize the strategy, drive alignment with key stakeholders and ensure in-market execution excellence.The SEA Market merchandising Lead will drive the Men\xe2\x80\x99s and Collections product strategy for the East Asia Pacific cluster, partnering with North Asia and Anz merchandising leads and their Men\xe2\x80\x99s team to drive a consistent and cohesive product strategy aligned with Global brand directions and local commercial objectives.Responsibilities:

  • Manage SEA merchandising team whilst continuously connecting and aligning with X functional partners (MP&IM, Marketing, BX, Commercial leads and Women\xe2\x80\x99s gender lead) to create and communicate the merchandising strategy and ensure impactful execution in the marketplaces across channels.
  • Lead segmentation strategies and create SEA consumer-relevant assortments to drive a profitable and sustainable growth while building impactful product stories, generating brand heat, commercial opportunities, in line with seasonal big ideas and SBP strategy, taking into account market nuances and consumer targets.
  • Be the voice of the consumer and socialize the product strategy along the GTM milestones to deliver inspiring and consistent message that builds brand equity, team confidence strengthens Levi\xe2\x80\x99s\xc2\xae position in the market.
  • Manage in-season performance based on sell-out results, taking an active part to weekly business review and driving action plan in close collaboration with trading team.
  • Own the results (assortment performance and productivity) and analyze product performance, sell in and sell-out, ROS, markdown, drive the pricing strategy and monitor pricing elasticity to determine needs, in season actions and future opportunities for SEA and EAP Men\xe2\x80\x99s line.
  • Provide informed POV for the EAP seasonal brief, based on consumer insights, market trends and product hindsight to drive future expansion through new product opportunities in collaboration with the Global Men\xe2\x80\x99s team for SEA and EAP markets.
  • Drive the execution with impact in close collaboration with cross functional teams, channel merchants, global merch team, planning & trading team, commercial, marketing and BX team.
  • Facilitate, simplify and execute an effective Go-to-market strategy in line with Global guidelines and be the best thought partner for your peers and team members and continuously stay informed on consumer trends, customer needs, product performance and Retail KPI\xe2\x80\x99s to properly inform and adapt product strategies.
  • Ensure creation and maintenance of line plans, range plans, directive assortment, PLM, systems and tools management in collaboration with Merch ops and pricing / analytics team.
  • Drive Men\xe2\x80\x99s Line growth and optimization across EAP markets through increased commonality and option reduction in partnership with Market leads. Align the EAP vision for the Denim authority, Dressing and Lifestyle based on Global Brand directions. Ensure full adoption of Global Seasonal Brand Focus and coordinate consistent message with cross functional partners (MP&IM, Marketing, BX, Commercial) and explore new opportunities that can create significant impact on Men\xe2\x80\x99s business, helping to engage with fans and attract new ones.
  • Manage team while exemplifying the LS&Co values and Merchandising signature behaviors, lead with Courage, Empathy and resilience, especially when faced with challenges and environmental changes.

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years in Team management experience required.
  • Excellent knowledge of merchandising in apparel, market expertise, Retail KPI\xe2\x80\x99s, price and margin targets.
  • Knowledge in stories layouts, options management, VM/ BX to maximize in store execution.
  • Developed sense of fashion and apparel taste, understanding different consumers targets.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills- includes influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates high degree of flexibility and initiative with minimal direction.
  • English is a must, other languages skills are a plus.
  • Travel of approx. 20%-30%
Education & experience:
  • Master degree in Business administration, Economics or fashion with fashion/ textile experience.
  • Desire to work for a world class merchandising team.
  • A curious mind, passion to learn, team player and a love of product.
  • Proficiency with MS office applications (Word, Powerpoint &Excel) and analytical tools ( Power Bi, Tableau\xe2\x80\xa6)

  • Business ownership and Financial Acumen \xe2\x80\x93 skilled at the key financial levers and performance measures to maximize revenue, profitability, volume, sell through and brand equity through relevant product assortments
