Job Description

To ensure continuous plant’s availability as well as be accountable for safe, smooth, reliable and efficient operation of plant’s equipment To support plant goals, objective and KPI’s To manage and advice operation team in their daily activity as operation shift leader.

Plant Operation

• Oversee and guide team on shift operations.

Ensure safety is incorporate into all activities and oversee site safety policies and standards are followed by operation team, in-house and external contractors.

• To assist Operations Manager in fulfilling his/her responsibilities.

• Monitor and keep track of operation activities being carried out.

• Ensure adequate resource availability for 24/7 Shift Operation.

• Respond to ad-hoc and plant emergencies.

• Demonstrate as an Operation Subject Matter Expert (SME)

• To manage and advice OPN in their daily activities.

• Ensure plant operations are performed as per SOP, manuals etc

• Support activities include but not limited to operations, frontline troubleshooting, plant start-up & shutdown and any other ad-hoc jobs.

• To plan and oversee routine equipment changeover program, maintenance activities and equipment overhaul.

• Develop and review SOP’s, RA, Job Aids, and Checklists timely.

• Monitor and reorder operation consumables such as Lime, chemicals, Ammonia, Fuel oil etc.

• Enforce safety procedures in all activities.

• Ensure all EHS issues and concerns are resolved and adhered timely.

• Involve in regular EHS site inspections and audits

• Liaise with regulatory bodies in regards to plant activities

• Enforce all ISO, QEHS and relevant standards are adhered to

• Responsible for OPN welfare.

• Review, monitor and plan Operation training and development in order to uphold technical competencies and upgrades.

• Review resources loading, coverage and availability.
  

Plant Optimization

• Identify safety improvement and implement energy & water saving initiatives.

• Assist maintenance team and implement effective Predictive and Preventive Program and reduce equipment breakdowns

• Monitor and keep track of utilities consumptions and generate reports as and when required

• Administer and review contracts for supply, plant improvement and works on plant equipment.

• Involve in Facilitate project works as well as plant improvement activities.

• Oversee and improve quality and efficiencies of operations activities.
  

Training & OJT Train team members on safe and reliable plant operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree (Major: Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial) or Diploma (Major: Mechanical / Electrical /Industrial with 10 Years IP experience)

• ERT & First Aid trained

• Confined space trained

• Working at height trained

• Steam Boiler Engineer Grade 2

• At least 5 years of experience in Waste to Energy Plant
