Job Description

In addition, we operate two modern yards in Haugesund and in Thailand, with complete prefabrication and construction capabilities. Job responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of planners/senior planners and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure that the planning requirements for the project are met
  • In charge of schedule management, including setting up level 4 critical path schedule and periodic schedule update
  • Prepare look ahead schedule for short term planning
  • Identify trends, analyse critical path, and evaluate consequences to the schedule
  • In case of delays, prepare recovery plan in agreement with the project team
  • Prepare ‘S’ curves, manpower histograms, rundown curves, and other planning deliverables as required in accordance with project requirements
  • Prepare monthly and weekly project reports
  • Support Project Manager, Project Planning Manager and other project team with reports for analysis and decision-making
  • Interact with customer to provide update on schedule as well as explain the current situation / challenges / opportunities
  • Ensure adherence to the internal procedures and policies and drive implementation of new initiatives leading to fully integrated planning
  • Assist the tender team with planning inputs as required
  • Any other ad hoc planning activities to support the projects / tenders
Work experience requirements:
  • More than 15 years of experience in EPC planning of FPSO / platform construction / modification projects
  • Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P6 / Safran
  • Proficient in the use of excel
  • Ability to develop a resource loaded critical path schedule independently with minimum support from other disciplines
  • Experience with change management
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering or construction management
Other skills:
  • Fluency in English and ability to prepare and present reports / analysis
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of official data and documents
  • Ability to prioritize and switch tasks in a busy and demanding environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new IT tools
