Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Planning Engineer to support our growing operations in Singapore

The Role



This position will be responsible to lead and coordinate all project planning, scheduling and progress monitoring activities to ensure the projects are delivered on time, within the scope of work, and aligned with company procedures, standards, work instructions and client requirements.


Responsible to prepare level 1 ~ 4 schedules, update, analyze & maintain project schedule across multiple disciplines as per project scope. Candidate should be familiar with planning tools like Primavera P6, EVM (Earned Value Management), CPM (Critical Path Method) and Reporting tools (MS Excel, Power point etc.)

Key Responsibilities

:


Planning and Scheduling ; + Plan & prep, prepare, implement & maintain project schedule using primavera P6 or equivalent software in level-1 ~ 4 including schedule basis memorandum (SBM), WBS - work breakdown structure as per project requirement
+ Integrate schedules from all phases & disciplines (E, P, C, Process, THSE, Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Static, Rotating, E&I, Procurement, Subcontract, Construction till MC & PIT etc.) into Baseline & subsequent updates as per the frequency agreed with Project team & Client
+ Define Project milestones, deliverables and Critical Path
+ Build schedule with logic links & sequence of work to meet project scope & objectives
Monitoring & Reporting + Set-up progress measurement systems to bench mark against baseline schedules & current status to report to the project team and client
+ Analyze variances, delays, trends and suggest corrective actions to meet project baseline or agreed variances
+ Support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting & forecasting
+ Agree reporting templates & frequency of issuance to meet project objectives
+ Prepare Monthly / Weekly and Daily Dashboards as required
Coordination and Communication + Coordinate with Project Managers, Discipline leads, Construction leads, Client representatives to get schedule inputs & align the schedule
+ Conduct planning meetings & attend progress reviews with team
+ Perform Schedule Risk analysis, communicate key schedule risks / opportunities & monitor through Risk register
+ Coordinate with project team on Change management, attend change reviews & raise changes to monitor and track till implementation.
Documentation & Systems + Use of in house planning tools / software's as needed
+ Timely issuance of reports (Monthly, Weekly, Daily as agreed)
+ Agree & issue planning deliverables, Baseline schedules & updates
+ Ensure compliance with Company and Client Planning procedures, work instructions & other governance standards


8 ~ 12 years' experience in project planning, out of which 3 years in Lead or Senior role TA (Turn around) planning experience is one of the key consideration for this role Experience across EPC, Construction, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Infrastructure facilities preferred
