Water issues are becoming increasingly prominent as we struggle with disparity between water availability and demands, water pollution, and competition for limited water resources. At Jacobs, we recognize these challenges and our engineers, scientists, and planners are working together with clients to find the right solutions to their water challenges.

An exciting opportunity to be the Lead Resident Technical Officer (LRTO) to join our Water business in Singapore. This is a great opportunity to work with a dream team and work on one of the mega water infrastructure projects located in Tuas, Singapore.

• The LRTO C&S will oversee all civil and structural quality control and assurance matters for the construction of the project using their experience and knowledge in the construction, inspection and quality assurance of all civil and structural elements of the project.
• They will work across all project\'s contracts to monitor, support and guide the implementation of the Resident Technical Officer Civil and Structural (RTO C&S) function. This includes the Qualified Person Supervision (QPS) statutory requirements under the QPS which is the project\'s CRE.
• They will provide guidance to the RTOs within the Construction Manager led teams responsible for specific project\'s contracts to maintain consistency across all the contracts and ensure that quality of all C&S works are in compliance with the specifications and applicable codes and regulations. The LRTO will be part of a team of LRTOs and LREs reporting to the Chief Resident Engineer and Engineering Manager also working across all of the project\'s contracts.
• Will have an indirect supervisory role for the RTO C&S staff within each CM team; day to day direction of their work will be by the Construction Manager while the LRTO will provide technical guidance and support, work closely with the CRE to communicate with the Client and with 3rd Parties as required. Also be able to provide clear direction and guidance to the RTOs and act as a technical mentor to assist them with technical support.

To be a successful candidate, you shall possess:

• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering
• RTO cert by IES
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in field supervision work to support the overall construction team
• Experience in used water/water treatment projects in Singapore would be an added advantage
