Responsible for planning and executing a developmentally appropriate programme according to the school curriculum
Writing of reports, individual Progress Files and Communication/Reflection Letters;
Keeping accurate records of student progress; regular documentation of children\xe2\x80\x99s learning;
Working together with the whole staff team to coordinate special events; and to upkeep common areas and displays;
Building good rapport with parents
Provide safe and secure environments for children
Perform other related duties as required
Monitor children\xe2\x80\x99s behavioural patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed
Collaborate with the Managing Director and Curriculum Coordinator to create holistic intervention plan
Administer various form of assessment to evaluate each student\xe2\x80\x99s progress
Engage and work closely with parents and school managements to help every student reach their full potential.
Requirements
Possess good interpersonal, communication skills, multi-tasking and time management
Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher
Good knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies
Patient, resourceful and resilient personality
Have a passion and patience for children
Ability to work as a part of a team and independently
A minimum of 5 years full time teaching experience in a recognised educational institution is ideal, however graduates may be considered
