Common Duties and Responsibilities

Approve COAs (Certificate of Analysis) Maintain ISO9001 & ISO14001 compliance for QC Lab Oversee maintenance and calibration schedule for Lab Plan and maintain QC annual budget Plan, assign and manage WBS projects for QC Process SAP and COUPA payments for vendors Upkeep and update QC documentation as necessary: QC manual, QC Work Instructions Provide training to QC and or Production members when implementing new / updated test method or procedures Oversee and plan QC members training program SAP: System enhancement (eg. change of Acetone Absorption grading for 50% Compressed), system troubleshooting, COA registration for new customers, update of COA templates and specification limits etc. J5: Develop and update j5 forms for QC, as required Additional duties (out of QC scope, due to absence of QA): Manage ISO9001 Quality Management System for Merbau Plant which includes Management review (twice per year) Customer Satisfaction Survey (once per year) Internal audit (twice per year External surveillance audit (twice per year) Customer audits (ad-hoc) Non-conformities report (as required) Corrective action report (as required) Management of Change (create, update and enhancement of j5 MOC form) Final Product Change Request (as required) Concession note (as required) Update Quality Manual, Quality Procedure Maintain Quality Risk Assessments Conduct ISO9001 introduction briefing to new Merbau members Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Lead the QC team to meet operational and production deadlines. Oversee the implementation of quality assurance programs and processes.

2. Key Activities

Hands-on analysis of Carbon Black, on-the-job training to be provided Implement QC improvements for the plant and QC, examples: Statistical Process Control Conduct Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility studies Evaluate and streamline QC work processes to improve productivity Evaluate back-up chemicals to ensure stable chemical inventory and cost effective chemical supplies Evaluate new equipment to replace obsolete equipment or improve test capability Hands-on troubleshoot of equipment (on-the-job): Examples ICP-MS/MS, Autotitrator, Absorption Tester etc.

Qualifications:

Degree in Chemistry QMS Lead Auditor ISO9001 will be a plus 5 - 8 years of experience in QC role Supervisory experience is preferred

Preferred Requirements:

Holder of certifications related to internal audit/internal control (e.g., CPA, CIA, CFE). Work experience in Japanese companies and/or willingness to understand Japanese culture. * Knowledge of ERP systems.
