What the role is:The Accountant-General\'s Department (AGD), a department under the Ministry of Finance (Singapore), is at the centre of public sector finance. We partner with government agencies to strengthen financial management capabilities and drive finance transformation initiatives across the public sector. As a Lead Associate or Senior Associate at the Government Finance Function Office (GFFO), you will be part of the Capability Development (Internal Audit and Finance) and Risk Management team. In this role, you will drive finance and internal audit functional leadership development efforts within the Public Service by enhancing the professional development and engagement of finance and internal audit officers, as well as managing cross-cutting risk areas related to finance and internal audit across the whole of government.What you will be working on:

• Build workforce capabilities by identifying key emerging competencies in line with broader industry trends and WOG priorities for the Public Sector Finance and IA officers e.g. of emerging capabilities include data analytics, digitalisation and sustainability reporting/assurance \xe2\x80\xa2 Strategize the adoption of the Finance Competency Framework and the Internal Audit Competency Framework and review of the learning and development roadmaps of finance and IA officers, supported by partnerships with Civil Service College and professional bodies \xe2\x80\xa2 Plan for engagement events and initiatives to promote cohesiveness within the function and cascade messages from the functional office to officers on the ground \xe2\x80\xa2 Strengthen risk management through the development of an Enterprise Risk Management Framework for the Finance and IA functions

What we are looking for:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in internal audit. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong ability to engage with diverse stakeholder groups, including senior management, finance leaders, and finance middle managers. \xe2\x80\xa2 People-oriented with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to secure buy-in for new or revised policies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and project management skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. \xe2\x80\xa2 Energetic, highly enthusiastic, and eager to learn and grow. \xe2\x80\xa2 A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proven ability to lead and guide small teams on various projects. *Please note that this position is offered on a 2-year contract basis.
