About the job

  • To develop and deliver a comprehensive development programs to achieve a high degree of customer-centric thinking at all levels.
  • Together with Kitchen GWI Project Manager to lead and optimise total kitchen sales by developing commercial competence now & in the future thereby securing a high level of performance in all units & service partners.
  • Report to GWI Project Manager and work closely with the project team on the training & development activities in Singapore.
Your assignment
  • Support GWI Project Manager in the overall training and development plan for GWI Singapore.
  • Support GWI Project Manager to implement agreed new Services & Service improvement actions & deliver results through a values-based & collaboration approach – all with high quality.
  • Assess, develop, and critique sales & e-commerce trainings, business and leadership development.
  • Work towards operational excellence ensuring a great customer shopping experience through workshops, process developments and enhancing working routines as well as other benchmark documents.
  • Undertaking the mapping of competence, management competence review and PEDP to draw insights as to the competence requirements within the selling functions.
  • Identify new learning methods & approaches as a ‘best-fit’ for the business, cost-consciously.
  • Responsible for compiling and maintaining a Services-focused project portfolio and implement it into our running business for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organise and structure competence development material with easy access for all co-workers.
  • Train, facilitate, mentor or coach co-workers in the IKEA Singapore.
  • Support the competence development programs & initiatives of other functions as needed.

  • Passion for home furnishing, people's life at home, customer service and working in a fast paced, constantly changing retail environment
  • Driven to achieve results through people & with development in focus.
  • Strong people skills to engage and connect co-workers unleashing their potential.
  • Strong collaboration skills to drive cross functional learning, continuous improvements, and operational excellence.
  • Relevant knowledge of process development & continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of the customer and co-worker needs demands and expectations on the markets.
  • Change management theory and how to apply this understanding.
  • Well-developed facilitation skills and the ability to develop these skills in others.
  • Proven technical knowledge on Microsoft Office applications & specifically Word, Excel and MS Teams.
