Lecturer (3D / Motion Design and Illustration)

• Mould young minds via inspiring workshops and studio practice, student consultations, supervision of assignments and projects which sit at the intersection of technology and design
• Focus on quality of lesson design and delivery through engaging teaching and learning strategies and methods, exploiting wherever possible, technology to promote learning
• Actively engage with industry and professional bodies to stay abreast of and be responsive to changing trends in the profession and the educational landscape
• Be mindful of and address the diverse learning needs of students in class and implement ways to holistically develop the potential of students through a range of interventions
• Promote skills upgrading amongst working adults through development and facilitation of professional workshops and continuing education training programmes

We are looking for dedicated individuals with unique perspectives and the ability to deliver and excite, both in the classroom and in the realm of communication design processes. The candidate should be:

• An active creator of visually engaging motion graphics and animations for various digital media platforms
• A master in video software, such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Cinema 4D, to design and execute captivating motion graphic projects
• A specialist adept at integrating typography, image, visual effects, and sound design to elevate the overall engagement and influence of storytelling and narrative
• A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality motion graphic deliverables that meet client requirements
• A collaborator, working closely with graphic designers, video editors, and content creators, to conceptualise and storyboard motion graphic projects that align with brand guidelines and project objectives
• In tune with industry trends and best practices, continuously refining skills, and exploring new techniques to push the boundaries of motion graphics design
• Skilled in translating messages and ideas into original and appealing illustrations
• Highly imaginative with the ability to convey ideas, facts and emotions through illustrations

Capabilities in the following areas will be advantageous:

• Mastery of cutting-edge technologies, such as GenAI, Web3, and AR/VR, showcasing a deep comprehension of their potential uses in motion design
• A keen eye for photography and videography
