The job of an academic is challenging and meaningful. Not only will he/she have both the knowledge and skillsets, he/she must also possess a passion for working with youths, nurturing them and moulding their characters. There will be opportunities to develop the curriculum, introduce new courses as well as be involved in consultancy and other applied research projects. Administrative work related to teaching and School/Institutional strategic initiatives will be an important part of the job too. The appointee will be expected to be resourceful and innovative with initiative and good communication skills. The appointee must be competent to teach in any of the following subjects: . Introduction to the Airline Industry . Airport Terminal & Ramp Operation and Management . Fundamental of Flights . Aircraft Systems Responsibilities: . Develop and conduct lessons, tutorials and laboratory sessions to internal stakeholders, students (young adults and adult learners) and industry personnel through effective learning activities . Keep abreast of current and future development and trends in in Air Transport and Aerospace Sector, so as to maintain relevant and up-to-date teaching curriculum. This includes review of existing curriculum to make recommendations on areas of improvements that would enhance students' performance, learning and employability . Provide mentorship and pastoral care for students . Engage and collaborate with industry pro-actively to enhance students' learning through activities such as industry learning journeys, student-industry projects, internship program and overseas programme . Provide administrative support in the running of the diploma course and general school operations Requirements: . Relevant degree qualification in the field of Aviation Management / Aeronautical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent . At least 3 years of relevant skillsets/knowledge in the area of Airline Industry, Airport Terminal & Ramp Operation and Management, Fundamental of Flights / Aerodynamics and Aircraft Systems. . Candidates who possess experiences in Iot/digitization for aerospace industry will have an added advantage. . Confidence in collaboration with industry . People-oriented individual with strong interpersonal, written and communication skills . Self-driven, independent and possess readiness to work as a team . Passionate about education and possess strong interest in teaching and mentoring both young adults and adult learners. Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
