The Centre for Applied Behavioural Sciences (CABS) undertakes applied research projects and offers consultancy and training in the domain of behavioural sciences. CABS also serves as a platform for lecturers and students from the School of Humanities & Social Sciences (HSS) to work closely with industry partners through applied behavioural science research and projects. - Conduct and deliver lessons to full-time diploma students and adult learners in the domain of applied psychology, behavioural sciences, and life-skills, specifically in the area of behavioural insights and life skills subjects infused with behavioural or psychological sciences, as well as carry out all relevant responsibilities related to the teaching role. - Design, prepare and develop teaching and learning materials (for face-to-face and online learning) and assessments in at least two or more of the following areas: > Life Skills related subjects infused with behavioural or psychological sciences research > Character Development related subjects informed by behavioural or psychological sciences research > Application of behavioural or psychological sciences to various domains of work and life > Behavioural Insights related topics - Be attuned to the latest developments in the scientific literature of at least two of the following topics: life skills, character development, behavioural insights. and applied behavioural and psychological sciences - Undertake and conduct research or projects in the domain of life skills (e.g., development of tools or programs that helps with life skills development, evaluation studies to assess impact and effectiveness of life skills programs) by engaging relevant stakeholders and project partners. - Design, develop and deliver customised workshops for internal or external stakeholders - Take on additional duties as necessary (e.g., committee work, outreach events, student development). - A tertiary qualification in psychology or behavioural sciences, with a focus on at least one of the following domains: (a) behavioural insights; (b) positive psychology; (c) life skills or character development - Minimum five years of industry experience in the application of behavioural or psychological sciences knowledge in the domain of life skills or character development and/or consultancy work related to the behavioural sciences - A passion and genuine interest to share knowledge and interact with youths and/or adults. - Have strong industry linkages to enable collaboration and engagement in life skills related projects and research. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrate high levels of professionalism, and willingness to invest in continuous learning. - Adopt scientific and empirical perspectives in carrying out the required work (i.e., teaching, curriculum development, research and projects), and in interaction with colleagues, industry partners and students.
