This position is within the School of Business which offers the Diploma in Law & Management. We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic individual who can effectively deliver comprehensive lessons, engage young and adult learners in meaningful discussions, and foster an environment of critical thinking and practical application. The successful candidate will be responsible for administration, planning and executing instructional materials, conducting assessments, and providing mentorship and guidance to students pursuing a career as allied legal, law enforcement and business professionals. - Lesson Preparation and Delivery: Prepare and conduct engaging and informative lessons on various media/platform, ensuring that the curriculum aligns with current legal practices and developments. - Administration and management of adult learning programmes, processes, subjects, students and curriculum. - Curriculum Development: Design, update, and enhance curriculum, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications to meet industry demands. - Student Assessment: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate students\' learning. - Class and Student Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering open discussions, encouraging critical thinking, and addressing students\' questions and concerns effectively. - Student Development: Engage in activities to provide holistic education and development of student\'s potential; Provide academic and pastoral guidance and support to students, assisting them in their academic pursuits and personal development. - Industry Engagement: Foster relationships with members of the legal industry and other organizations to ensure teaching and learning relevance. - Professional Development: Pursue continuous professional development opportunities to stay updated with emerging teaching methodologies and legal practices. - Committee involvement: Participate and collaborate in work groups and committees on a Diploma, School or Polytechnic level. - Academic training in Law, Business or Computer Science/Engineering. - Relevant experience in the legal industry or in a business or corporate position. - Strong technology and digital skills including MS Office Suite. - Excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver complex legal concepts effectively. - Forward looking, adaptable, collaborative outlook.
