[What the role is]

The job of an academic is challenging and meaningful. Not only will he/she have both the knowledge and working experience, he/she must also possess a passion for working with youths, nurturing them and moulding their characters. There will be opportunities to develop the curriculum, introduce new courses as well as be involved in consultancy and other applied research projects. Administrative work related to teaching and School/Institutional strategic initiatives will be an important part of the job too. Successful candidates will be expected to be resourceful and innovative with initiative and good communication skills.

The appointee must be able to teach and facilitate students\xe2\x80\x99 learning in Creative Innovation and Technology as well as in one or more of the following areas:

- Digital Product Design (UX/UI Design)
- Experience Design
- Prototyping & Visualisation

[What you will be working on]

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate face-to-face / online lessons, implement, and inspire students through different learning pedagogies and activities.
• Develop and write curriculum materials for both Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses relevant to the industry. Module delivery including student assessments and assignments to meet learning outcomes.
• Provide administrative and pastoral support in the running of diploma courses and general school operations.
• Plan, lead and manage projects with industry stakeholders for students\xe2\x80\x99 learning.
• Participate actively in professional development activities such as industrial research and collaboration projects.
• Assist in the management and delivery of training programmes.

[What we are looking for]

Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years of development skills across diverse technology areas.
• Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Design or related programmes.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Well-versed in rapid hardware development tools such as Arduino and Rhino.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT) and relevant industry needs.
• Ability to ideate and translate them through innovative technology-based solutions.
• Knowledge of UXUI workflow and ability to build prototypes, functional wireframes, and proof of concepts.
• A portfolio link of your work that demonstrates strong concepts and execution in each project you include.
• Having teaching experience will be a plus.

Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
