What the role is:This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Human Capital Management in the School of Business & Accountancy.What you will be working on:Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:Play a pivotal role in equipping students with the knowledge and skills to navigate the evolving landscape of Human Resources (HR). Your HR analytics and technology expertise will enable students to harness data-driven insights and leverage cutting-edge tools for effective HR decision-making.Deliver engaging and interactive course programmes on HR analytics, HR technology and related topics such as workforce planning, data analysis, and emerging HR technologies to Pre-employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education & Training (CET) studentsDevelop and review course materials that align with industry trends and academic standardsEngage students in active learning through case studies, simulations, and other experiential learning activitiesEvaluate student progress using a variety of assessments, including tests, exams, assignments, and group projectsApply and adopt new pedagogies or learning technologies to enhance curricula deliveryAdvise and mentor students on academic and career-related mattersCollaborate with fellow lecturers and industry professionals to enhance the quality of HR educationWhat we are looking for:At least 3 years of relevant industry experienceStrong professional experience in HR analytics and/or HR technologyIn-depth knowledge of HR analytics methodologies, statistical analysis, data visualisation techniques and emerging HR technologiesA nurturing mindset with a passion for working with youths and adult learners in both the full-time diploma and part-time programmesExcellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner to studentsAbility to work independently and collaboratively with a team of academic professionalsA commitment to continuous learning and networking to stay current with industry developments and bring industry into the curriculumAdditional pre-requisites that are advantageous:Experience in HR/People SustainabilityPrior teaching experienceAbout Ngee Ann Polytechnic:At Ngee Ann Polytechnic, our nine academic schools offer over 40 full-time diplomas to a growing student population of more than 15,000.
