What the role is:This teaching role is in the School of Business.What you will be working on:We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual in the fields of airline, airport or tourism operations who is dedicated to inspire and prepare learners for successful careers. - Design and develop teaching, assessment, and learning materials (including e-learning and multimedia presentations) for airline, airport and tourism operations subjects for both pre-employment training (PET) and continuing education and training (CET). - Conduct lectures, tutorials, and student consultations, including the supervision of projects in airline, airport and tourism operations subjects, as well as business-related subjects such as sales, marketing, and management in PET and CET. - Plan, initiate and mentor collaboration with relevant industry players to support student learning and staff participation. - Undertake industry or consultancy projects. - Participate in delivery of outreach activities to market the school and course to potential students. - Develop and provide pastoral care and career guidance to students and alumni in related areas. - Contribute to poly-wide/school-wide events or activities. - Perform administrative and other related tasks and projects as required.What we are looking for:- Tertiary qualification in a related discipline. - At least 3-5 years of industry experience in airline, airport or tourism operations. - Strong proficiency in using airline Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus. - Committed to driving digitalisation and innovation in the hospitality and tourism industry. - A dedication and genuine interest in teaching and students' learning. - Strong digital skills and the ability to learn new software quickly will be an advantage. - The ability to facilitate students' learning using best practice educational methodologies will be preferred. - Possess effective written and spoken communications skills. - Able to work independently and in teams.About Temasek Polytechnic:Established in 1990, Temasek Polytechnic (TP) is a leading institution of high learning nestled by the idyllic shores of Bedok Reservoir in Tampines.
