What the role is:This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer in the School of Humanities & Social Sciences.What you will be working on:Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:- Curriculum development, course delivery (face-to-face/online) and project supervision for youth and adult learners in the following areas:Behaviour Management & InterventionsSocial PsychologyAbnormal PsychologyHealth PsychologyMental WellnessIndustrial PsychologyCommunity Development & Social ServicesCommunity Psychology & Advocacy- Lead and identify new opportunities, initiatives and collaborations with the industry, institutes of higher learnings & related agencies- Keep abreast with latest trends and developments in the areas of youth work, community development- Handle administrative work relating to teaching and assigned projects- Supervise students during internships- Be up to date with the latest developments in the youth services space, in the areas of technology and community solutioningWhat we are looking for:Bachelor degree in psychology/social workIndustry experience in the social service or healthcare sector (social work or community care)Experience teaching and/or working with youths will be an advantageExperience in teaching communications related subjects and/or have IT skills will be an advantageAn agile team player with good interpersonal and communication skillsProject/time management and attention to detailA tenacious attitude with a growth mindsetAbout Ngee Ann Polytechnic:At Ngee Ann Polytechnic, our nine academic schools offer over 40 full-time diplomas to a growing student population of more than 15,000.
