What the role is:
The School of Applied Science invites applications for full-time teaching position of a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer who will be involved in teaching duties in food science and technology specialised learning units in the Diploma in Food Science & Nutrition.
What you will be working on:
Responsible for curriculum development and delivery, project supervision, and assessment for full-time and part-time courses (continuous education programme)
Coach and mentor students and be involved in student development activities beyond the classroom
Collaborate with industry to enhance students' learning
Participate in committees and contribute to administrative/ management tasks
What we are looking for:
Relevant qualification in Food Science & Technology or related area
Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in the areas related to food safety and/ or food analysis
Knowledge in food safety, food fermentation, and biotransformation of food waste into specialty chemicals or renewable energy is advantageous.
Passionate about training, mentoring and motivating youth and adult learners
People-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Keen interest in developing new capabilities through projects and self-learning
