The Architecture (Design) Lecturer/Senior Lecturer is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in architectural design, theory, and practice. This role involves developing and delivering curriculum content, guiding students through design studio projects, and fostering critical thinking and creativity. The lecturer will also contribute to academic research, industry collaboration, and curriculum development, ensuring alignment with current architectural trends and sustainability practices. Senior lecturers may additionally take on leadership roles in program coordination, mentoring junior staff, and driving innovation in teaching and learning.

Responsibilities:

• Course delivery to students, including curriculum development, course assessment, project supervision, mentoring of students and providing pre-, in- and post-course advice.

• Enhance the quality of lesson design and delivery through implementing appropriate teaching and learning strategies and methods.

• Evaluate curriculum design, development, delivery and assessment to enhance their effectiveness.

• Spearhead and lead developmental initiatives and industry collaborations; including competitions.

• Stay current and responsive to changing trends in the profession and educational landscape through active engagement with industry and professional bodies/communities.

• Lead or represent in school committees and contribute to administrative/management tasks (i.e. outreach, student recruitment, project management etc.) as and when required.

• Review, formulate and implement processes in response to new initiatives/strategies set by the School/Dept.

• Develop and deliver CET programmes.

What we are looking for:
Requirements:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the architecture or built environment industry with experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM Revit), construction and material technology, project management & professional practice

• Relevant qualification in Architecture or equivalent

• Experienced in Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) processes - familiar with one or more of the following areas: Digital Design, Digital Fabrication, Digital Construction and Digital Asset Delivery and Management

• Familiar with Sustainable Built Environment Design and Strategies.

• Proficiency in 2D/3D software such as SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, Autodesk (CAD and Revit) software etc.

• With hands-on experience as well as leading project team to deliver according to committed schedules.

• Familiar with submission requirements and processes for relevant authorities such as BCA, URA etc.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Candidate should possess relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Building Information Modelling (BIM Revit)
• Construction and material technology
• Project management & professional practice
• Immersive Technology - AR/ VR in Built Environment context
