Job Description
What the role is:The School of Applied Science invites applications for full-time teaching position of a Lecturer who will be involved in teaching duties for specialised chemistry learning units under the Professional Competency Model for the Diploma in Applied Chemistry.What you will be working on:
- Responsible for module development, module delivery, project supervision, assessment setting and marking for full-time and part-time courses
- Coach, mentor PET learners and be involved in student development activities beyond the classroom for example, conferences and competitions etc
- Plan, lead and manage poly-wide and industry projects
- Perform administrative and academic dutiesCollaborate with industry to enhance students\' learning
- Relevant qualification in Chemistry or equivalent
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience preferably in the chemical and/or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in
- Chemical and/or Protein Analysis using Wet Chemistry Methods like titrimetry, gravimetric analysis and Analytical Instrumentation like LC/MS/MS, GC-MS, ICP-OES/MS etc
- Quality Control, Environmental Health and Safety
- Synthetic chemistry and specialty chemicals
