Job Description

This position is in the School of Humanities & Social Sciences. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct and deliver lessons to full-time diploma students and adult learners, as well as staff in the area of applied psychology (such as behavioural insights) in business domains, as well as carry out all relevant responsibilities related to the teaching role.
• 
  Design, prepare and develop teaching and learning materials (for face-to-face and online learning) and assessments in one or more of the following areas:
  
  • Applied Behavioural Science/ Behavioural Insights applied to Business domains (such as communication, finance, consumer behaviour etc.)
  • Behavioural Economics
  • Cognitive Psychology
  • Social Psychology
  • Industrial & Organisational Psychology
• Be attuned to the latest developments in the field of Behavioural Science.
• Conduct and facilitate student-industry collaborations and take an active role in engagement with industry.
• Undertake and conduct research in industry projects, engage stakeholders and project partners.
• Mentor and motivate students, and inspire them to actively participate in student life and developmental activities, such as local and overseas learning trips.
• Design, develop and deliver customised workshops for internal or external stakeholders.
• Take on additional duties as necessary (e.g. committee work and outreach events).

• A tertiary qualification in Psychology or Behavioural Sciences.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in Psychology and/ or consultancy work related to the behavioural sciences/ behavioural insights.
• A passion and genuine interest to share knowledge and interact with youths and/or adults.
• Have strong industry linkages to enable collaboration and engagement in Business related projects and research.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate high levels of professionalism, and willingness to invest in continuous learning.
• Adopt scientific and empirical perspectives in working with colleagues, industry partners and students.
