What the role is:

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Mechatronics)

What you will be working on:

• Conduct lessons to both full time diploma students and part time adult learners and carry out all relevant responsibilities related to the job roles.
• Develop and deliver curriculum / courseware / e-learning modules for full-time / part-time courses for students and adult learners in the areas of Advanced Manufacturing, Additive Manufacturing, Subtractive Machining, CAD/CAM/CAE application, Robotics and Automation, Machine Vision and Pattern Recognition.
• Plan, lead, manage and develop projects with industry partners, supervise student projects and collaborate with industry partners in related engineering fields.
• Adopt the use of IT resources and multimedia platform for lesson facilitation.
• Counsel, coach and mentor students to support their learning, guide students in competitions, provide career guidance and talent development of students.
• Undertake academic related administration and committee work, and support outreach activities, local/overseas community projects and study trips.
• Develop students holistically in areas such as career readiness and leadership, genuine interest, and passion to share knowledge and interact with young minds and adult learners.

What we are looking for:

• Qualification in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Manufacturing Engineering or related fields, with at least 3 - 6 years of relevant industry experience in the respective field.
• Good knowledge in design of machining processes relating to conventional manufacturing, subtractive and additive manufacturing.
• Skilled in 3D modelling and 3D Printing, and proficient in engineering design for manufacturing using CAD/CAM/CAE software applications.
• Experienced in industrial automation, Machine Vision and Pattern Recognition.
• Familiar with advanced manufacturing and industry 4.0 technologies. Knowledge in Artificial Intelligent and Machine Learning for Industrial Automation will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of semiconductor industry, and possess skills of integrating IT and OT systems is an added advantage.
• Self-driven, independent and good team player who works well in cross-functional capacities and multi-task effectively.
