[What the role is]
Automation Engineering Group is a part of our Advance Manufacturing Cluster in the School of Engineering. This group focuses on new and emerging industrial robotics and automation technologies and their applications for adoption within precision manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and food manufacturing sectors. This job position requires the competency in these technologies, deliver the knowhow to our PET and CET learners and apply towards industry projects to support our industries.[What you will be working on]-Involve in the total development of our learners, including mentoring, and career guidance.-Develop robotics and automation solutions with new and emerging technologies that contribute to preparing our learners for future work and strengthening industry\xe2\x80\x99s capability.-Lead and conduct curriculum development, course delivery and project supervision.-Plan and lead learners for overseas educational trips.-Identify ad spearhead collaboration with the industry.-Work with project lead and team to fulfil industry project deliverables.-Work with system integrators, suppliers, and vendors on industry project developments.-Develop documentations and conduct training to industry end-users for the robotics and automation solutions, as needed.[What we are looking for]Relevant qualifications in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or related fields of study.At least 2 years of relevant working experience in one or more of the followings:Mechanical engineering design3D engineering modelling and simulationAutomation machine/system development, including design, build, troubleshoot and rectify.Proficient in Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Unigraphics or other CAD engineering software.Expose to robotics and automation technologies e.g., industrial robots, collaborative robots, machine vision, electro-pneumatics, industrial actuators.Possess critical thinking skills, interpersonal skills, and a team player in a multidisciplinary environment.Highly self-driven and ability to work independently.
