What the role is:The School of Design & Media invites applications for full-time teaching position of a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer who will be involved in teaching duties in Interaction Design / Web Design & Mobile Application / IOT/ Immersive Experience Design specialised learning units in the Diploma in Experiential Product & Interior Design.What you will be working on:

• Course delivery to students, including curriculum development, course assessment, project supervision, mentoring of students and providing pre-, in- and post-course advice.
• Enhance the quality of lesson design and delivery through implementing appropriate teaching and learning strategies and methods.
• Evaluate curriculum design, development, delivery, and assessment to enhance their effectiveness.
• Spearhead and lead developmental initiatives and industry collaborations, including competitions.
• Keep abreast of and respond to changing trends in the professional and educational landscape through active engagement with industry and professional bodies/communities.
• Lead or represent in school committees and contribute to administrative/management tasks (i.e. outreach, student recruitment, project management etc.) as and when required.
• Review, formulate and implement processes in response to new initiatives/strategies set by the School/Dept.
• Develop and deliver CET programmes.

What we are looking for:

• Relevant qualification or at least 5 years of relevant industry experience in Interaction Design / Web Design & Mobile Application / IOT/ Immersive Experience Design.
• Passionate in nurturing the next generation of Interaction and UX/UI Designers.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of UX design, processes, and tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Experience in physical prototyping techniques & electronics prototyping (Arduino, Micobits).
• Candidate should possess relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Programming & scripting languages (Javascript, HTML, CSS, React, Python)
• Electronics Prototyping
• Interactive Installation Design and Development
• Internet of Things (IoT)
• Immersive Experience & Media Creation (AR/VR/MR)
