Job Description
Our client is one of the leading player in Retail Comsumer Industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a In-house Legal Counsel to join their Legal Team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the Changi \xe2\x80\x93 easily accessible.
Duties of In-House Legal Counsel:
- Offer strategic legal guidance to management and business units on diverse legal and compliance aspects, encompassing insurance law, corporate governance, employment law, intellectual property, data protection, and litigation.
- Fulfill the role of the company\'s Data Protection Officer, ensuring adherence to internal approvals, corporate governance standards, and compliance requisites.
- Enhance and formulate policies and procedures in alignment with business objectives.
- Assist in external and internal audit processes, guaranteeing conformity with legal and regulatory standards.
- Apply effective risk management techniques and provide proactive counsel on potential legal issues.
- Oversee the implementation of protocols for safeguarding patents, trademarks, and other intellectual property.
- Minimum Degree in Law, with at least 5 - 10 years relevant experience.
- Knowledgeable in Singapore Law to provide advisory to the management team
