Senior/ Legal Counsel (Real Estate)

We are seeking a Legal Counsel (Property Investment) to provide in-house legal advisory support on property transactions and portfolio management in Singapore and across selected international markets. The role requires strong expertise in real estate law, investment structuring, and compliance with local regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate property acquisition, sale, lease, financing, and joint venture agreements. Conduct legal due diligence on property investments, including title, zoning, encumbrances, and regulatory checks. Advise on compliance with Singapore property and investment regulations (URA, SLA, MAS, HDB, Land Titles Act, property tax, and stamp duty). Provide legal support on cross-border property transactions. Work with finance, investment, and operations teams to ensure sound legal structuring of deals. Manage legal risks and liaise with external counsel where necessary. Keep management updated on regulatory developments impacting property investments.

Requirements

Qualified lawyer with at least 3-8 years of PQE in real estate, investment, or corporate law. Admitted to the Singapore Bar (Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore). Prior experience in property development, REITs, investment funds, or law firms handling major property deals is preferred. Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills. * Ability to work independently and partner with cross-functional teams.
