The ideal candidate will be a team player with a keen interest in education and social sciences.Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical and expert legal advice on a broad range of legal issues including but not limited to intellectual property law, research collaboration agreements, contracts, disputes, regulatory requirements, employment law, and governance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments within the university, providing legal risk management and strategic advice to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the university.
• Develop/update contract templates and general contract management.
• Conduct legal research and provide updates on changes in legislation.
• Advise, improve, or develop University policies and processes.
• Assist with, or lead, strategic initiatives for the University.

• A Bachelor\'s degree in law (LLB) and admission to the Singapore Bar.
• A minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience, with a requirement of experience in intellectual property law.

• Proven experience as a legal counsel in a business environment, with good knowledge of commercial, intellectual property and general contract negotiations
• Experience in higher education, research and development or a related legal field will be viewed favourably.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; sound judgement.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; adept at engaging with internal and external stakeholders across all organisational levels.
• Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a \xe2\x80\x9ccan-do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude; flexibility and willingness to work on a broad range of matters.
