Directly communicate with internal stakeholders (e.g. finance, investments, products teams) on contract interpretation, negotiation and enforcement (e.g. commercial claims and guidance on performance of contracts);
Manage all corporate actions required from SG entities (e.g. arrange and facilitate regular BOD meetings, ACRA filings, etc.)
Directly participate in negotiation process with potential partners and/or investors, where applicable;
Acting as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within Traveloka in the context of investment transactions are being appropriately evaluated (including e.g. anti-trust matters);
Liaising and coordinating with law firms and corporate secretaries throughout the relevant jurisdictions (where necessary);
Lead internal compliance in SG by identifying, drafting, reviewing, finalizing and supporting socialization of required list of internal SOPS and policies;
Represent the company for government engagement matters (including meetings, enquiries and other forms of correspondence);
Identify policies that needs to be issued and prevailing policies which need to be amended by regulators for the benefit of the company business;
Represent the company for non-government engagement matters in relation to policy influencing matters (including e.g. public hearings, inputs to policies);
Manage data privacy enquiries and lead data privacy related projects (e.g. updating customer data privacy policy);
Draft and review IT and data related agreements where necessary; and
Draft, review and socialize stakeholder mapping of regulators and other policy influencers.
\xe2\x80\x8eRequirements
Holds a law degree from a reputable university
Minimum 4 years of working experience (experience in M&A transactions, compliance and public policy preferable but not requisite)
Previously worked at a reputable law firm or multinational corporation as a legal counsel
Has been exposed to some engagement with government officials (high level and/or working level)
Has the ability to navigate through regulatory barriers and strategize to find a solution to overcome such barriers
Has the ability to assess prevailing laws and/or regulations that hamper and benefit the company business
Has excellent drafting and negotiation skills
Has good networking skills
Fluent in English, both oral and writing
