What the role is:We are looking for a mature, knowledgeable and dynamic individual to join the Legal Division and contribute to its work in supporting CEA\'s regulatory policies and operations.What you will be working on:- Conduct or assist in the taking of enforcement actions against offences and disciplinary breaches under the Estate Agents Act and its subsidiary legislation, which includes prosecution in Court and disciplinary proceedings before a CEA Disciplinary Committee; - Provide clear and effective legal advice to the various divisions within CEA on a variety of issues, including its functions and powers, regulatory and enforcement framework, statutory interpretation and the review/drafting of contractual documents; - Assist with law reform and the drafting/amendment of legislation; - Involvement in projects and activities where necessary, which may include research on related issues; and - Assist in other functions and work of the Legal Division in general that may be assigned.What we are looking for:- A motivated individual who is integrous, responsible and meticulous - Strong advocacy, analytical and reasoning skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as a team - A degree in Law and called to the Singapore Bar - At least 2 to 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience preferred - Prior experience in prosecution/litigation will be advantageousAbout Council for Estate Agencies:Join the team at the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) to regulate and promote the development of a professional and trusted real estate agency industry.
