Legal counsel

What you'll achieve
We are looking for an experienced generalist counsel to join Dell's International Legal team. This person will be a strategic partner to the local and regional business and to the legal department, helping to ensure that Dell operates within the law at all times and to limit risk exposure. The primary focus will be on general compliance and key regulatory issues, including aspects of trade compliance, employment, marketing and consumer regulations, disputes and litigation.
You will:

• Provide strategic and tactical compliance counsel to local and regional business stakeholders on legal and compliance risks to ensure internal and external compliance and enable the business in achieving its goals.
• Lead/participate in multi-faceted legal assignments and projects.
• Performs detailed analyses, which require input from multiple sources and innovative problem solving.
• Communicate and exchange information with all levels of management.
• Train and advise company personnel in respect of applicable laws and company policies.
• Keep abreast of legislative changes and provide practical insights on application of these new laws to Dell.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified to practice law in Singapore or another South Asian country. Experienced practicing in Singapore.
• 4-6 years relevant legal experience in a multinational business and/or law firm
• Excellent knowledge and experience with practical application of various compliance requirements
• Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of clients/stakeholders, apply legal defensive and/or proactive strategies; ability to anticipate legal compliance issues or risks and to "see around the corner".
• Strong communication skills
