Job Description

Our client is a Global MNC, one of the leading players in the Manufacturing sector. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Legal Counsel to be part of their team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West \xe2\x80\x93 easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for being the main point of contact between the company\xe2\x80\x99s regional stakeholders for issues (eg. Legal, Ethics and Compliance etc.) arising from the company\xe2\x80\x99s business activities
• Responsible for liaising with both internal/external stakeholders to realign and propose beneficial ideas/solutions to various legal matters (eg. Interpretation, Negotiation, Enforcement etc.)
• Responsible for setting up the company\xe2\x80\x99s Ethics & Compliance standards, as well as implement/grow the required compliance culture across the various business units in line with the company\xe2\x80\x99s policies/regulations (eg. anti bribery, trade and export compliance, conflicts of interest etc.)
• In charge of providing the necessary legal support (eg. drafting/negotiating term sheets, supporting closing transactions etc.) for the company\xe2\x80\x99s regional business activities (eg. acquisitions, investments etc.)
• In charge of liaising with the company\xe2\x80\x99s regional stakeholders for the execution/maintenance of the necessary corporate filings and reports with respect to the relevant laws/policies
• All other adhoc duties as assigned
  

Requirements:

• Min Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Law, called to the Bar in Singapore
• Min 7 years of relevant working experience in reputable law firms, as well as commercial experience in a Global MNC
• Experienced and Knowledgeable in Corporate and Contract law, Ethics & Compliance policies
