Our client - one of the largest financial institution with global footprint, is looking to hire a Legal Counsel - Vice President to be part of their Legal team.
You will provide transactional support, legal, regulatory advice and risk management to the APAC business and will report directly to the Head of Legal based in Singapore.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining, developing, and accounting for the lifecycle management of legal documentation required to support the APAC business
- Advising on global and local regulations affecting the Asia Pacific Markets business
- Assessing netting/collateral enforceability of ISDA documentation for derivatives transactions, ICMA/ ISLA documentation for fixed income securities financing transactions
- Structuring, performing regulatory treatment, and drafting appropriate documentation for a range of bespoke structured products and transactions across APAC jurisdictions
- Selecting, instructing, and managing external counsel in jurisdictions across APAC, and managing related costs
- Being accountable for review and risk analysis of new products and business proposals for the business from a legal perspective
- Qualified lawyer in UK, Australia, Singapore or Hong Kong
- At least 8 years\' PQE either in a private practice (handling markets/IB) or similar inhouse legal environment
- Good knowledge in ISDA documentation and various ISDA product definitions
- Demonstrable product knowledge involving products and emerging markets
