Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced

Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW)

to oversee electrical installations, maintenance, and compliance for our industrial projects in Tuas. The LEW will be responsible for ensuring all electrical works meet

EMA regulations

, project specifications, and safety standards, while providing technical leadership on-site.

Key Responsibilities

------------------------

Act as the appointed LEW for the company's Tuas projects, ensuring compliance with EMA requirements. Supervise, inspect, and endorse all electrical installations, testing, and commissioning works. Apply for, renew, and manage electrical installation licenses (e.g., HT/LT supply applications with SP Group). Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and ensure conformity with statutory codes and project standards. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical faults on-site in a timely manner. Conduct risk assessments, safety briefings, and ensure workplace safety compliance under WSH regulations. Liaise with consultants, contractors, SP Group, and regulatory bodies on approvals and inspections. Maintain accurate documentation, test reports, and compliance certificates. Mentor and guide technicians and junior engineers on electrical best practices.

Requirements

Possess a valid

EMA LEW License

(minimum Grade 7, preferably Grade 8/9). Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in electrical works within industrial, manufacturing, or plant projects. Sound knowledge of EMA, SS, and other applicable statutory requirements. Strong project supervision, inspection, and reporting skills. Able to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders. Willing to be based at

Preferred Attributes

Experience with

high-voltage installations

and substations. Prior exposure to petrochemical, pharmaceutical, or heavy industrial projects. Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with contractors and regulatory authorities. * Safety certification (e.g., WSQ, BizSAFE, WSH-related courses) will be an advantage.
