Job Description


The Role

As an Life Actuarial Analyst within the ICT Singapore office, you will work on various projects ranging from year-end valuation, pricing, market entry, business planning, M&A, etc for our clients. You will be responsible for data preparation, model building, researching as well as producing, and analyzing initial results. You will work closely with a variety of consultants and project managers who will help you increase your insurance knowledge and sharpen your actuarial skills \xe2\x80\x93 all while providing a blend of client-facing skills as well.

  • Deliver high-quality work in compliance with Excellence standards and proactively look for process improvement.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Life Insurance industry in the Southeast Asia markets.
  • Seek and participate in key learning and development opportunities/maintain steady progress through actuarial exams.
  • Manage your time effectively between multiple assignments at a time.

  • Build strong relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels.

  • Meet billable hours targets.
  • Contribute to sales and marketing efforts by drafting proposals.
The Requirements
  • Fresh graduates with Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or any other related quantitative fields
  • Experience in an insurance, actuarial, or financial environment is preferred.
  • Actuarial exam progress toward FIA, FIAA, FSA, and/or other actuarial credentials
  • Good analytical and integrative skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel (including VBA)
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to respond to all communications effectively and promptly.
  • Ability to ask the right questions and seek help where appropriate.
  • Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues; strong client service orientation.
  • Interest and ability to think beyond the task at hand and understand how one\xe2\x80\x99s work fits into the broader landscape.
