Business Analyst (Data and Actuarial Systems)
We are seeking an Business Analyst to be the bridge between local actuarial teams and regional IT teams for Data and Actuarial Systems for a leading life insurance company in Singapore.
xc2xb7 Focus Areas:
o Streamline processes using tools like Big Query, Alteryx, and other applications.
o Ensure accurate data requirements for IT platforms.
o Maintain governance and documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
xc2xb7 Communication: Bridge between Actuarial teams and IT to clarify user requirements and data needs.
xc2xb7 Process Optimization: Automate reporting and analysis processes to reduce operational risks.
xc2xb7 Platform Management: Ensure availability and functionality of GDC and IRDMP platforms.
xc2xb7 Program Review: Review code from junior members and provide programming support.
xc2xb7 Documentation: Maintain robust documentation standards and issue logs for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
xc2xb7 Education: Degree in Computer Science, Business Finance, or related field.
xc2xb7 Technical Skills:
o Strong SQL scripting skills.
o Experience with Python a plus
o Knowledge of Big Query and Alteryx is advantageous
xc2xb7 Soft Skills:
o Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
o Project management experience and innovative thinking.
o Initiative and commitment to process improvements.
xc2xb7 Bonus: Knowledge of life insurance is advantageous but not required.
