About the role

Our Singapore Disputes team now has openings for experienced litigators with a minimum of 3 to 7 years PQE to join their expanding team. Those with strong commercial litigation experience, including shareholder disputes, trust disputes, fraud, cross-border and multi-jurisdictional litigation, asset tracing as well as restructuring and insolvency matters are encouraged to apply. We have been involved in the most significant global offshore disputes and complex cross-border restructurings and insolvencies of recent times, winning keynote victories for our clients.

Who you’ll be working with

You will be joining a team of 3 to 4 lawyers in Singapore and will also be working with colleagues in our Hong Kong office.

What you’ll be doing

You will be an active member of the Litigation, Insolvency and Restructuring Practice Group in Singapore, where you will be actively involved in advising on various cases from cross-border, multijurisdictional litigation, contentious trusts, insolvency and restructuring matters to fraud and asset tracing and asset preservations. The Associate/Senior Associate should be able to work with colleagues to help clients succeed in realizing their business or personal objectives, through the efficient delivery of appropriate legal advice and assistance; must demonstrate an ability to provide accurate, focused advice to clients.

Responsibilities

You will be an active member of the Litigation, Insolvency and Restructuring Practice Group in Singapore and will:
Actively advise on various cases from cross-border, multi-jurisdictional litigation, contentious trusts, insolvency and restructuring matters to including fraud and asset -tracing and asset preservations.
Work with colleagues to help clients succeed in realizing their business or personal objectives, through the efficient delivery of appropriate legal advice and assistance;
Undertake business development.

Qualifications and experience

3 to 7 years PQE at a major onshore or offshore law firm with demonstrable experience in dispute resolution.
Excellent English, Mandarin and Cantonese language skills – this is essential.
Proven experience of shareholder disputes, corporate litigation and insolvency matters, drafting court documents and witness statements.
Proven experience of managing multi-jurisdictional claims of varying values.
The ability to build business relationships with other associates inside and outside the firm.
Strong attention to detail.
The ability to provide accurate, focused advice to clients.
