Charterer - Fast-growing Energy Trading Company
Company Description: This is a fast-growing energy trading company operating a mix of jointly owned and chartered gas carriers on both spot and time-charter basis. In line with its business growth, there is now a newly created opportunity for a Charterer.
Main Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of Chartering, the charterer will be responsible for chartering gas carriers, negotiating Spot Chartering, Time Charters, and COAs (Contracts of Affreightment). The operations executive will also review laytime calculations and manage demurrage exposure in the market, while providing support to Operations in handling vessel-related challenges. Monitoring shipping freights and flows, the operations executive will further be required to identify trading opportunities based on shipping advantages.
Requirements: The successful candidate will ideally have a degree in business or engineering discipline with 3 - 5 years of relevant chartering experience. You will also be described as meticulous and entrepreneurial, with the ability to problem-solve independently.
