Job Description

We are working on behalf of a leading portfolio player who are currently looking for an experienced LNG Chartering Manager to join their team in Singapore.Responsibilities

• Monitor market trends and develop optimal marine coverage strategy. Analyze and define best marine transportation options.
• Identify optimal vessel, negotiate rates and charter party terms. Negotiate Spot in/out charters, Contracts of Affreightment (COA), and short term time charters.
• Provide market research, vessel availability and freight economics, projects and commercial trading organizations.
• Provide guidance to schedulers and voyage coordinators regarding voyage orders to chartered vessels.
• Define all commercial and contractual details for negotiated charter party terms. Coordinate closely with schedulers to nominate tonnage in a manner that will optimize system freight costs, minimize demurrage and ensure timely delivery of cargoes.
• Communicate and liaise with Japanese shipowners and Japanese utility companies, network and maintain relationship with market players i.e. ship-owners, brokers, customers, and end-users to keep abreast of market developments and opportunities.
• Coordinate with Analytical team to build a fundamental model to help taking the decisions in our shipping strategy, including internal freight forward curve.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
• Able to analyze market data, develop models, use derivatives and identify commercial opportunities
• Effective negotiating skills; Good commercial judgment
• Strong analytical capability
