Coordinate import operations with Purchasing, Logistics Service Providers, and Warehousing to ensure the timely receipt of shipping documents and customs clearance.
Obtain freight quotes from Logistics Service Providers to determine the most cost-effective shipping option.
Coordinate and resolve import operational issues including customs documentation, tariff classification, trade declarations, container damages issues, freight recovery etc.
Handle inquiries and requests from internal teams on import shipments, provide timely updates and information as needed.
Work with Finance to verify freight invoices and facilitate payments to Logistics Service Providers.
Prepare various reports, including monthly report on freight spends.
Manage local and overseas collections and deliveries of raw materials and indirect materials.
Monitor and follow up on payment-related matters as necessary prior to arranging shipments.
Coordinate bookings and transportation. For Dangerous Goods shipments, ensure PM4 approval from Logistics Service Providers before arranging container trucking with haulers.
Issue Packing List to the Warehouse for the packing and loading of goods.
Ensure accuracy and timely preparation of all shipping documents.
Other admin tasks e.g. Jurong island visitor/permanent pass application, participation in annual stock take etc.
Job Requirements
Diploma in Logistics or equivalent with minimum 3 to 5 years\' relevant experience in manufacturing industry
Well verse in shipping documentations and Microsoft Excel
Experience in DG documentations would be an added advantage
Proficient in Navision System will be an added advantage
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with cross-functional team
Excellent organizing skills

Ability to multi-task under fast paced environment
