Adecco is partnering with a client in a luxury FMCG environment and they are currently looking for a Logistics Executive to join their team! This position requires the incumbent to lead and manage the Logistics Shipping team to meet/exceed service level targets as per the SLA. Review and improve process flow to achieve operational and cost efficiency. The Logistics Executive will also assist the Logistics Manager in the overall improvement, compliance projects and any other initiatives from Group.
Job scope:
Inbound/Outbound Shipments
Prepare and implement shipment schedule for local and regional markets
Ensure compliance to regional transfer guidelines and customs regulations
Review and improve inbound and outbound process flow
Reduce freight and related costs by negotiating with suppliers
Monthly review and submission of KPIs reporting
Liaise with Surveyor, forwarding agent and warehouse on any shipment discrepancy
Security and Insurance
Arrange transport for local and overseas transfer/shipment according to Transit Limits set by Group
Management of Claims Database
Provide monthly update of outstanding claims
Co-ordinate with service providers to organize the secured transportation for Brands events and photoshoots
CITES / ATA Carnet / Forwarding Agent Management
Plan and review buffer stock levels of re-export cites to regional markets
Accounting of CITES purchases, issues and balances at the end of each month.
Liaise with Singapore Wildlife Department on the stock card / Re-export CITES application
Manage application of the import CITES permits
Application and monitor all ATA Carnets for renewal and return status
Liase with Chamber of Commerce to resolve discrepancies and irregularities
Check and ensure ATA Carnets are correctly completed by customs
Ensure compliance to regional guidelines for ATA Carnet handcarry
Evaluate and review the performance and service of the forwarding agents
Checking of invoices to ensure services are correctly billed
Leading a team
Identify staffs' training and development needs (internal & external training)
Staff management and performance assessment (including recruitment, appraisal and development)
Requirements:
Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Foreign Trade and Customs or equivalent qualification
Min 3 - 5 years of experience in Logistics (import/export) related roles
Demonstrated leadership and team player
Independent and self-motivated, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Organised and detailed orientated
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, outlook, access)
Knowledge in Tradenet and SAP is an added advantage
