Logistics Planner (FMCG)

Adecco is partnering with a client in the FMCG environment they are currently looking for an Logistics Planner to join the team! This position requires the incumbent to ensure Freight Plans align to Contract Manufacturing sites production and fulfilment plans and communicate freight network constraints back to the organization. This position will also develop weekly/monthly freight plans as an input to the S&OP process and be responsible for managing reporting related to logistics under management.




Job scope:

• Participate in system or process improvement initiatives
• Coordinate complex fulfilment and freight plans
• Plan, review and revise freight plans in the sales forecast or manufacturing schedules
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to communicate and troubleshoot issues, problems, and concerns for ocean freight coordination
• Actively review the supply plans, inventory reports, and operations plans to provide guidance to the logistics partners
• Assist in the expediting of finished goods to support order fulfilment
• Recommend and implement transportation actions when products are out-of-stock or allocation situations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or similar field
• 5+ years of experience in freight planning / scheduling / fulfilment role (preferably for a Logistics provider or carrier)
• Well versed in Excel (Pivot Table & VLOOKUP) and SAP systems is a plus
• Warehouse/inventory experience will be advantegeous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• ERP/MRP Systems Planning experience, leading logistics projects is a plus
• Comfortable to accomodate and adapt to attend meetings with global partners in their timezones
