Job Description

General Profile: Recognized as an expert in managing complex programs and initiatives to support cross functional team efforts. Influences global logistics strategy and leads crucial logistics cost, capability, and capacity improvement initiatives. Proactively identifies and solves logistics cost or capability issues, coordinating with logistics operations team across sites. Provide leadership in managing cross-functional logistics initiatives and projects. Requires strong interpersonal skills to effectively influence and lead others to find and implement solutions to complex problems across various organizations within the company. Excellent listening, written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact well with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams. Works independently with minimum guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Leads cross functional teams to translate organization strategy into annual operating plans.

Leads high-visibility logistics performance improvement initiatives and facilitates logistics strategy development with senior staff members and stakeholders. Develops project plans and oversees from conception and planning to implementation, including strategies, processes, and resources. Ensures objectives are clearly defined and aligned with cross-functional teams.

Leads cross functional teams to achieve performance objectives for programs and initiatives. Interfaces and coordinates with internal customers. Provides status reports to management, stakeholders, and internal customers. Builds positive, trusting relationships through consistent, on time delivery of commitments and effective communication.

Identifies and solves cross-functional and inter-team challenges.

Responsible for managing schedule and task details by utilizing project management software (e.g. Jira, SmartSheet and MS Project).

Provides program management and business process expertise to team and other members on various significantly complex programs/issues. Identifies and resolves potential complications within the program and develops solutions for resolution.

Functional Knowledge

Recognized as a project/program management expert with a demonstrated track record of success

Project management certification strongly preferred

Proficiency in data analytics and/or programming tools, such as Minitab, JMP, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, R language, Python, etc. preferred

Business Expertise

Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve business processes

Prior work experience in Operations Management, Supply Chain or Logistics preferred

Leadership

Works well under pressure in a dynamic environment and leads others in the same environment

Builds consensus in teams to deliver desired project outcomes

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Problem Solving

Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions

Experienced in solving complex problems and driving continuous improvement initiatives/projects

Lean manufacturing, six sigma and/or 8D problem solving knowledge/experience preferred

Strong interpersonal skills and being able to communicate difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view

Education: Bachelor\'s Degree

Experience: 10 - 15 Years with at least 8 years of experience in program/project management.
